The "Etta Fondren Scholarship" is a scholarship awarded from Arm of Faith. a nonprofit Organization. Ms. Fondren is the the mother of Andrew Fondren, who is the founder of Arm Faith, locate in Chicago, IL. Etta Fondren was a resident of Wynne, Arkansas, and pillar of her community. She was a wife, a mother, and a member of Union Valley M.B Church where she served as an usher for many years. Ms. Fondren also hosted the pastor and many guest preachers every Sunday after church in home. Ms. Fondren was an entrepreneur and created multiple streams of income to help support family. She knew the importance of putting her hands to work. She was big advocate of education although she only completed the 3rd grade. Ms. Fondren was not educated in the school system: however, she was able to teach herself to count and read. the purpose of this scholarship is to encourage high school students to further their education and to support them in their financial efforts.

Academic Achievement
